Slime Boss

The Slime Boss is the second boss players encounter and is a large difficulty ramp from the previously seen Giant Boss. In phase one, the boss has two attacks; a basic melee with a knockback and a leap that acts as a gap closer which deals heavy area of effect damage. Upon reaching zero health, the boss splits and transitions to phase two. These smaller slimes do not have any complex mechanics or attacks but must be defeated quickly before they are able to reform and return the boss to phase one at 50% health. The same is true for the third and final phase of the encounter.

Phase 1

Basic Attack

A melee ability that deals damage and knocks the player back if hit.

Phase 1

Leap

If the player gets too far away from the boss, he will use his Leap ability to close the gap while also attempting to deal damage to the player.

First Phase Transition

Split

Upon reaching 0 health, the boss falls to the ground, splitting into two smaller slimes that must be defeated quickly.

Phase 2

Basic Attacks

These smaller slimes utilize two basic attacks that deal damage to the player.

Phase 2

Recombine

If the smaller slimes are not defeated quickly enough, they will recombine and the boss will return to Phase 1 with 50% life.

Second Phase Transition

Split

Upon reaching 0 health, these slimes split into two more smaller slimes each, transitioning into the final phase of the encounter.

These smaller slimes utilize two basic attacks that deal damage to the player.

Recombine

If the smaller slimes are not defeated quickly enough, they will recombine and the boss will return to Phase 2 with 50% life.
